The Health & Welfare Council of Long Island, Inc. is one of the most respected regional policy, advocacy and outreach organizations in the nation. The Council assists Long Island's vulnerable families and individuals through collaboration, research, information and outreach.

The Health & Welfare Council  is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization. Individual contributions are tax-deductible as charitable contributions to the extent allowed by law.

Funding for the Council is provided by private foundations, individual donations, and government grants.
