Long Island Human Services Advocacy Network

HWCLI communicates quickly and accurately to its vast network of agencies and community leaders through the Long Island Human Services Electronic Communications System. Policy information, advocacy strategies and special forums are available to agency executives, commissioners front line service providers and clients through e-mails and faxes to the 500 participating organizations.

This year the Network engaged in national, state and regional debates on:

  • The New York State Budget
  • Access to Health Care
  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Expansion of Nutritional Services through School and Summer Food Programs
  • Contracting issues for non-profits

To put your name on the advocacy list to receive Council's regular information on welfare and health issues send your email/fax number to goshea@hwcli.com
