Unmet Needs Roundtables are commonly used following federally declared disasters to provide assistance that will help survivors return to self-sufficiency. The Roundtable is a “court of last resort,” bringing together private donors with disaster case managers seeking assistance for clients who have no other possible sources of help.

The Long Island Sandy Unmet Needs Roundtable is convened by the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island, and meets every Tuesday.
